Why is it important to signal?  Informing other drivers for your lane changes are important key points to remember so drivers are aware and able to understand each other, as well as have a good form of remote communication amongst each other.  Ofcourse, some vehicles may signal when other vehicles are not around, but it is a good practice to signal if you are driving close to other vehicles, to avoid from any misunderstanding.
